Be Part of the NGH Convention 2009 Faculty

Well the 2008 National Guild of Hypnotists Convention is behind us, but what a spectacular event it was!

And work is already underway for the 2009 NGH Convention which, (as of today, September 7, 2008) is only 335 days away.

If you are interested in being considered to be part of the 2009 Convention faculty, we are extending this invitation to you. In order to be considered, you must submit a proposal using the Program Submission Form, which is available by clicking on the “Presenter Proposal” link located atĀ http://www.ngh.net. You MUST submit your proposal by the September 30, 2008 deadline in order to be considered.

When you participate in the National Guild of Hypnotists Convention as part of the faculty, you help make history in a very special way. You also discover nuances about a topic you believe you know inside and out, because you never learn as much about your field of expertise as you do when you teach it to others.

Here are some thoughts to keep in mind while preparing your 2009 NGH submission:

  • The seminars will all be “1-hour” (50 minutes actual time) in length) with a single presenter.
Tuition Workshops will be 2-hours & 3-hours (1 hr 50 min/2 hr 50 min actual time) in length.
We’re seeking topics new and/or relevant to our Convention theme (”Go With The Winners”).
Selected presenters will receive a complimentary convention registration, which includes admission to all 1-hr seminars and a ticket to the Awards Banquet.
Products may be marketed by rental of an exhibitor’s table (at a reduced fee for presenters and requiring an attendant) or by submitting product for sale to the Guild Bookstore on a consignment basis.

Thank you in advance for entering your submission and for meeting the September 30, 2008 deadline. If you have any questions about the submission process, please contact Jean via email at nghfloridaoffice@gmail.com or phone (407) 678-8956 and let her know what your needsĀ are.

Thank you again, and see you at the 2009 NGH Convention!

Looking for a New Career? Many Are Turning to Professional Hypnotism

(Merrimack, NH) June 30, 2008
The National Guild of Hypnotists reports that many people are turning to hypnotism as a new career choice. The 57-year-old organization, the world’s oldest and largest association for professional consulting hypnotists, already has more than 10,000 members, representing 65 countries around the globe. Yet, the number of people registering to attend this year’s 3-day convention and conference, scheduled for August 8, 9, and 10, is out of the ordinary by comparison to any previous year.NGH Convention Registration

Tom Nicoli, Board Certified Hypnotist and longtime NGH member is perhaps best known for his successful hypnosis weight loss program, which was the subject of NBC’s Dateline. Nicoli explains, “The economy is tight, people are looking for meaningful new careers or ways to supplement their current vocation, so it makes sense that they are choosing to become board certified hypnotists through the National Guild. What an opportunity to change your life and your finances while helping others.”

The NGH Convention is open both to hypnotism professionals and to anyone with a sincere interest in learning more about hypnosis or careers in hypnotism and fields that utilize it. You can receive information about the National Guild of Hypnotists Convention and Educational Conference, by calling the NGH Convention registrar at (603) 429-9438. Additional information about hypnotism, the NGH Summer Institute, or the 2008 NGH Convention can be found on the NGH Convention blog, http://www.nghconvention2008.com

According to the Guild’s International Affairs Officer, Dr. Shaun Brookhouse of London, England, “Refining your craft as a professional consulting hypnotist is a study of a lifetime. But the National Guild of Hypnotists Convention is an excellent place to start. Come for 3 days or up to two weeks. Depending upon the classes you take, you can leave the NGH Convention ready to set up your own professional practice.”

In addition to offering its members in-depth training, certifications, re-certifications, and important professional benefits, the National Guild of Hypnotists provides its members a powerful lobbying arm. Through their affiliation with the OPEIU/ AFL-CIO, the Hypnotists Guild is the champion for the rights of professional hypnotists and the integrity of the practice of hypnotism.

Today’s NGH membership includes therapists, counselors, coaches, nurses, and a range of health care professionals. A college degree is not required for enrolling in the NGH Convention courses, or for receiving your certification as a Board Certified Professional Consulting Hypnotist.

The National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc. is a not-for-profit, educational corporation. Founded in Boston, MA in 1951, the Guild is a professional organization comprised of dedicated individuals committed to advancing the field of hypnotism. National Guild of Hypnotists president, Dr. Dwight F. Damon is available for media interviews at (603) 429-9438.
